Transportation & Lodging

Arrival

If you are flying to San Antonio, you will use San Antonio International Airport. 


Individual Athlete Ground Transportation 

Ground transportation is provided for individual athletes, it is not provided for teams.

Ground transportation must be prescheduled (deadline April 8).

Ground transportation is only provided between host hotel and TXP Games Venues. 
 

If you are in need of ground transportation, you will need to complete the
GROUND TRANSPORTATION FORM.

Equipment Transport (Track & Field Chairs Only):

For athletes who traveled by air: Upon registration to hotel, please store your equipment with the front desk. You will need to make sure the equipment is marked with the athlete’s name, sport & a contact number. It will be taken to the venue for you. Field chairs will be stored at Morgan’s Sport. Track chairs will be stored at Heroes Stadium. Field chairs will be returned to the hotel lobby on Saturday evening and Sunday afternoon for track chairs. It is your responsibility to come and retrieve your equipment once returned to lobby on Saturday or Sunday.

Note: Texas Parasport Games requested U.S. Paralympic Classification panels for Track/Field, Swimming, Air Guns and Archery.

Classification Appointments are required and must be arranged ahead of time. If you checked on the registration form that you needed classification, you will be sent a link a few weeks before the games to sign up for an appointment.  The appointment times go fast, so we encourage you to look for that email and respond quickly.  It is required to fill out the US Paralympics paperwork to get a classification appointment.  If you have classification questions, please contact Darlene Hunter: darlene.e.hunter@gmail.com.

Full Games Schedule

All revisions made to the schedule are immediately updated on the printable schedule on the website. Please look closely and make sure you double check all your event times. We encourage you to check the website the day prior to your competition, for any last-minute changes or announcements. The TXP Games website (News Section) and TXP Facebook page will be used to announce any changes due to weather or other unforeseen circumstances.

 

TXP Games Yapp App  - Coming Soon!!

This year we are very excited to announce that we will again be using the app called “Yapp,” that can be loaded on your phone to help you navigate TXP Games.  When we have it updated with the 2026 information we will put the link and code here.  Thank you to Darlene for all her hard work on keeping everyone updated.

Sport Specific Schedules

Preliminary Track & Field Heat Sheets will be posted in the NEWS Section of the website and on the YAPP App. Please check it and make sure your events are entered correctly, we will adjust items that are our mistakes. We will not make new requests or heat changes, etc.

 

Final Track & Field Heat schedule with pit assignments & heats sheets will be posted by 2:00 pm on Friday, 4/24.

Swimming Preliminary Heats will be posted in the News Section of this website.  The Final Swim Heat Sheets will be posted by 8 AM on Friday, 4/24.

 

Airguns Relays, Rowing Heats, and Archery Heats will be posted 24 hours before each competition. This information will also be sent to your email on file.

 

Tennis Draws will be posted to the website and sent to your email on Wednesday, April 22, 2026.

Coaches Meetings

Open Track @ Heroes Stadium

The times listed below are the only times the track will be open for training at Heroes Stadium. The throws area will not be open for training.

Thursday, 4/23 - 1:00-4:00 pm

Friday, 4/24– 1:00-3:30 pm

Saturday, 4/25 – 9:00 am-11:30 pm (Open Track)

                        10:00 AM-11:30 am (Coach/Mechanic available

                        for WC Racing Training)

 

Track Relays

We are excited to be hosting track relays for Junior athletes & Warrior Games teams this year. We will be following the relay points system set-up by Move United and Warrior Games. Please go to the link below to make sure you are entering the correct points and distances for your relays. 

Relay team entrees are due to the TXP Games information table before 5:00 pm on Friday. Please note we do have a 4-heat limit on relays and the relay spots will be awarded in order that they are received.

Food and Drinks for Athletes

Water and snacks will be provided for athletes and volunteers. These replenishment items are provided for athletes, volunteers, staff, and officials only and will be located at each competition venue. 
 

We encourage you to bring your own food and drinks.  TXP Games will not be providing meals for athletes, so please plan accordingly.  The exception will be Friday at lunch for the Hartford Welcoming and Gifting Moment at Morgan’s MAC (11:30-1:00).  

 

Food Trucks

We will be having a food truck area on Saturday at Morgan's Sport and Sunday at Heroes Stadium.

Saturday @ Morgan's Sport: 7:30 am-4 pm

Sunday @ Heroes Stadium: 8:30 am-2 pm

 

First Aid & Medical

There will be Medical Staff coverage for all sporting events of the TXP Games. Medical staff is present to provide basic first aid. Medical staff can be identified by their red shirts with the word Medical on the back.

​Equipment / Equipment Repair

Be sure to bring all the equipment that you will need for competition (pumps, racing chairs, spare tires, gloves, bows, arrows, airguns, etc.). There will be equipment repair areas @ the venues for Archery, AirGuns, and Track on the competition days.  If there is a need outside the competition days , please text or call Saul at 512-667-4078 and he will do his best to assist you with your need.

Inclement Weather

In the event of inclement weather, we will run/throw/shoot in the rain. Thunder and lightning WILL put us in a delay situation. Please go to the YAPP App, Texas Parasport Facebook page and the TXP Games website (News Section) for the latest update. It will be difficult for us to answer 300 phone calls or text. We will post as soon as a decision is made.  Please be prepared for wet weather.

Clinics

Awards

1st – 3rd Place Medals will be given for the following sports:
Archery, Boccia, Air Guns, Rowing and Powerlifting: A short Awards Ceremony will take place immediately following the completion of competition for Archery, Boccia, Rowing, & Powerlifting. Air Guns medals will be handed out once competitors in each division have had all athletes in a given division have an opportunity to shoot.  
 

Track/Field and Swimming: Souvenir Medals will be given to each athlete with a placement pen given for 1st-3rd place for each event/class/age division. Awards for swimming and track will be available after the completion of the individual event. For track, please give 45 minutes for the results to process. Swimming awards should be ready in about 30 minutes. Field awards will be given out at the track on Sunday. 

 

NOTE: We will NOT be mailing awards out after the event. Please make sure you come to one of the below designated times to pick-up your awards or have a representative retrieve them for you.

Friday, 4/24

Swimming awards available at NEISD Aquatics Complex 30 minutes after your final event. Please wait to pickup your awards after you have completed all your races.

Sunday, 4/26

All awards available for Pick-up @ Heroes Stadium. See final schedule on full event schedule.
